For the past 18 months, my life has been like a roller coaster. Like literally, as soon as things start to rise, here comes that unexpected drop. The kind of drop that makes you gasp for air. That makes you want to screen out because it’s so terrifying. Yup, that kind of drop, it causes you to close your eyes, hold your belly so tight, and just scream. The thing is, I wasn’t just screaming, I was screaming out for God and asking him to send his Angels, for guidance, direction, and support.

When we pray and ask God for his help, to send his Angels, we expect it to be in the spiritual form, but it’s not always that way. I can surely say I have met an Angel in the form of a living, breathing person. Just as how God sent Jesus to live amongst us so that we could experience his goodness. I was able to experience God’s love for me, through her and was rest assured that my prayers are being answered.

As I sit and think about all the times she goes above and beyond for me. How she advocates on my behalf. How she prayed for me and my baby. How she has been a shoulder for me to lean on. How she sacrificed her own health and well being in the time of COVID as a pregnant lady, to be there for me, I can’t help but believe that she is indeed an Angel.

I remember when I started my new job, I was assigned to another supervisor, but God knew best. He wanted me to be mentored and coached by someone who understands, who had just undergone the same thing I was about to go through, a mother, someone who understands the challenges of pregnancy. God doesn’t make mistakes, and I trust the decisions that he makes and know that this was his doings.

Thank you very much, Kelly, for everything you do, not just for me but for all your supervisees. The impact that you’ve had on my life is hard to put into words. You’ve done so much for me in so little time. Thank you for going above and beyond even when you don’t need to. Thank you for taking the time to care. Thank you for always being honest about your feelings.

You have taught me what it means to truly care, how to sacrifice, and how to go above and beyond for others. I will, in turn, do the same for others! Your kindness and care are much appreciated, I will pay it forward.
